For use cases where a near-perfect quality is required, such as TV channels, OTT services, or business document translations, XL8 also offers a packaged service, called Skroll Post-Edit, that delivers translations fine-tuned by a human-powered Quality Control process.

Job Description

This role is responsible for developing speech recognition systems As a research engineer at XL8 your responsibilities will include:

  • Research and develop state-of-the-art Deep Learning (DL) and Automatic Speech Recognition (ASR) algorithms on various scenarios, such as speech-to-text on clean/noisy environments, multilingual speech recognition, speech enhancement for ASR, etc.
  • Research and develop state-of-the-art Speech Translation and Speech-to-Speech algorithms
  • Analyze and identify the strengths/weaknesses of our speech recognition engines and improve them iteratively
  • Develop DL model training/testing codebase and related tools
  • Collaborate with software engineers for model deployments and addressing customer feedback

Minimum Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
  • 2 years of work experience in Machine Learning or AI.
  • Programming experience in Python and C++.

Preferred Qualifications

  • PhD in NLP/Machine Learning or equivalent experience.
  • Experience with Deep Learning frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow, etc.).
  • Experience in Speech Processing and Speech Recognition.
  • Experience in improving Machine Learning models and algorithms in real-world products.
  • Experience in publishing papers at leading AI conferences (ACL, EMNLP, NAACL, NeurIPS, ICML, CVPR, ICCV, ECCV, etc.)

Pay

$150,000.00 - $200,000.00 per year
