We currently have an opening in Computational Linguistics / NLP / DataScience working in Crystal City, VA.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Data analysis, development, maintenance and documentation:
- Analyze data from languages worldwide
- Analyze variation in personal names
- Develop new data and data subsets
- Ensure data quality
- Identify data discrepancies
- Document nature of data, data development procedures
- Analyze writing systems and their romanizations and transliterations
- Algorithm/Software analysis, maintenance, documentation, development and training for:
- Automatic language/culture/region identification
- Name-checking
- Quality assurance testing
Basic Qualifications:
BS in a field related to Computational Linguistics:Computer/Data Science, Artificial Intelligence combined with some knowledge of Linguistics and foreign languages, or Linguistics along with several years' experience in programming or Data Science.
Preferred Qualifications:
MS/PhD in Computational Linguistics, Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence or related fields. May be a new graduate.
Must be U.S. citizen capable of obtaining a Secret clearance.
