Your Role and Responsibilities
We are seeking to hire an ML Engineer in Speech Recognition to join our growing team! This is hands-on technical role where you will spend most of your time designing, coding, and implementing ML solutions to speech and audio processing problems to improve our state-of-the-art streaming speech recognition system. We are looking for someone with experience designing, implementing, and training deep-learning-based speech models as we work to improve and scale our conversational AI products. As an ML Engineer on the team,
You will:
- Work closely with other engineers to explore, implement, and evaluate novel approaches to complex algorithmic and architectural challenges
- Contribute to ASR model optimization and improvements using large scale real-world data
- Deploy and support multiple machine learning models in production
- Work with teams to develop and improve ML training pipelines and tooling for continuous training and benchmarking of speech models
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
- Professional experience developing software in Python, C++, or similar languages
- Experience using PyTorch, MxNet, TensorFlow, or similar tools
- Research or experience in Machine Learning, Deep Learning, and/or Speech Recognition
- Experience building machine learning products in any domain
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
- Experience developing production-level Python
- Experience with fully neural-network based approaches to speech recognition
- Experience with language identification, endpoint detection, or speech activity detection models
- Experience with MLOps or ML at scale
- Experience with multilingual speech recognition models or systems
- Working proficiency in Spanish
