What you’ll achieve
As a Principal Software Engineer, you will be responsible for developing IVR applications to deliver customer value and create automation to improve efficiencies within the organization. You will work with the IVR Product Team and all internal business units on solutions to enable customer self-service and a simplified and seamless end to end customer journey.
You will:

Develop IVR applications to meet business requirements utilizing Avaya products including Avaya Experience Portal, Orchestration Designer, Avaya Communications Manager and Nuance products including Nuance Speech Server and Nuance TTS.

Assist in training and mentoring of less experienced developers leveraging a broad knowledge of programming/scripting languages, and the telephony discipline, especially IVR systems

Create automation within the telephony space to improve delivery efficiency supporting our CI/CD capabilities and other relevant processes

Be a domain specialist in one or more technical programming specialties

Essential Requirements

Experienced with Avaya Orchestration Designer, Java, scripting languages, and Nuance products

Ability to apply extensive knowledge of application programming and analysis with proven experience in software development methodologies

Detailed understanding of key business processes and ability to communicate and translate needs to technical solutions

Knowledge of automation and cloud native technologies

8+ years of validated experience and bachelor’s degree in computing engineering or computer science
Desirable Requirements

Experience with GitLab and YAML is a plus
