We have offices in Barcelona, Madrid, São Paulo, Mexico DF, and Palo Alto and you will be part of a multinational team of PhD’s & Engineers in NLP, Artificial intelligence and software development.

Currently we are hiring a Project Manager in the USA to work 100% remotely. This person will be responsible for the full lifecycle of our projects, with top-down oversight from inception to completion. They must ensure that all projects adhere to the required standards of budget, timeline and scope. They must also develop project plans that meet client needs with company goals, and coordinate technical personnel throughout all stages of the project.
We most definitely want you if you have excellent problem-solving skills with at least three years of management experience in development work and customer interaction. You should have the ability to anticipate the needs of future projects by communicating with clients and staying abreast of relevant shifts in the industry.
Responsibilities
- Manage projects with top-down oversight throughout entire execution to ensure success as defined by adherence to standards of scope, budget, and timeline.
- Develop comprehensive project plans that merge customer requirements with company goals
- Monitor project progress continuously, proactively manage Engineers and Linguists assigned to project and make detailed scheduled reports on measurable items, such as milestones and deliverables.
- Communicate proactively with all involved personnel to provide encouragement, identify problems, create solutions, and implement efficiency improvements.
- Manage the clients’ requirements and expectations responding with updated project plans
- Manage risks and issues, and provide solutions and mitigation actions
- Analyze economics of project plans and provide actionable feedback relating to cost benefit and return-on-investment standards.
- Review proposed modifications on project plans, including meeting with interested parties to approve and implement beneficial changes.
- Anticipate details of future projects by communicating directly with customers and staying informed of relevant trends and industry news.
- Document lessons learned from past projects and help the team come up with improvements
- Understand Verbio products, their features, requirements and configuration (after training).
- Understand technical aspects of your projects such as customer’s infrastructure requirements or particularities.
- Explain, justify, and defend in front of the customer technical decisions related to the architecture of the Verbio solution.
- Act as a primary point of contact for technical issues and be able to manage it with the customer and the team.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or computer science (NOT mandatory, but preferred)
- 5 years’ experience in Projects Management in the software industry
- Traditional Waterfall and Agile Project Management Methodologies
- Managing complex projects in a high-tech development environment with multi-disciplinary teams.
- Ability to obtain and fully understand the business needs of the customer
- Interacting with both business and IT profiles from the client side at all levels including the executive level.
- Coordination of people
- Working under pressure with multiple stakeholders and priorities, patience, emotional management, decision making
- Customer-focus: understanding of their needs and ability to project best image of Verbio at all times
- Strong analysis, planning, and organizational skills
- Team spirit, responsiveness and proactivity to solve problems and help other solve theirs
- Excellent clear and precise written and verbal communication in English
- Flexibility to changes in project and adaptability to adjust plan accordingly
- Native US English speaker
- Experience working with agile frameworks such as Scrum
- Experience working with MS Project and JIRA

- Spanish and/or Portuguese language
- Availability to travel abroad from time to time (once international travel becomes safe) for training, etc.
For this position you must be eligible to work in the USA and be based in the Eastern time zone
