Senior Sales Engineer (Pre-sales)

We have offices in Barcelona, Madrid, São Paulo, Mexico DF, and Palo Alto and you will be part of a multinational team of PhD’s & Engineers in NLP, Artificial intelligence and software development.

Currently we are hiring a Senior Sales Engineer in the USA (eastern time zone) to work 100% remotely.
Verbio’s Sales Engineers use their consulting skills and technical knowledge during the sales process to understand customer needs, gather a detailed description of the requirements and support a Sales Representative to deliver a solution proposal with positive business outcomes for the customer.
The Sales Engineer would be joining our Pre-sales Team (sales engineering team, members located in México, Brazil and Spain) with the task of working closely with Sales Representatives in North America to ensure that the solutions being offered by Verbio meet customers requirements.
We most definitely want you if you love making presentations, conducting product demonstrations, designing architecture diagrams, scope definitions for PoC or projects, professional services estimations or contributing to create statements of works.
Responsibilities
- Working closely with the sales team based in US, assisting them where needed on pitches for business, technical queries, pricing components, business case discussions, HW/SW sizing, content generation for RFP’s, Proposals or SOW’s including resources and efforts estimation to put on track a concrete solution.
- Attending customer/partners meetings with sales team members acting as a technical/product expert, conducting a product demonstration if needed. Also replying customers/partners following requests for information and proposal requests.
- Working closely with customers to perform initial discovery, requirements capture, highlighting Verbio’s unique selling proposition for each product/solution, conducting architecture/infrastructure/integration discussions and ensuring technical feasibility before delivering a proposal.
- Presenting and defending proposals to customers alongside members of the sales team.
- Keeping updated and well trained/informed about Verbio’s products/solutions including tools, programming interfaces, integration mechanisms, requirements and limitations of the technology.
- Collaborating with sales and marketing teams in content generation by providing technical information describing how Verbio products work.
- Sharing relevant information about market directions with our product teams to ensure that Verbio’s roadmap is aligned with market feedback and trends.
- Maintaining communication with the Delivery Squads at all levels internally to provide accurate professional services estimates.
Requirements
- Telecommunication or Computer Engineer (Master or Degree)
- Minimum 6 years of work experience as a Sales Engineer
- Experience responding to RFIs and RFPs, giving input on scoping and estimating time/resources and providing quotes for the project’s technical requirements.
- Experience providing valuable input to make sales strategy more effective.
- Experience developing business cases, preparing sales meetings, and following up on open issues/concerns.
- Customer focused, high proficiency in oral and written communication/presentation skills in English, and ability to communicate technical information to non-technical staff in a way that is easy to understand.
- Excellent ability to discover customer needs and understand/gather customer requirements as well as identifying/assessing technical risks to draft proposals/statements of work.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and react appropriately in a fast moving, constantly changing work environment.
- Ability to work remotely but in total coordination with remote teams/workmates.
- Strong team-player.
- Self-motivated.
- Willingness to travel (10%).
Nice to have
- Experience with contact center technologies (Telephony, PBX, IVR, CTI).
- Understanding of speech AI technologies (Speech Recognition, Speech Synthesis).
- Understanding of speech security technologies (Voice Biometrics).
- Understanding of conversational solutions (VUI, VXML).
- Understanding of call automation metrics, KPIs and analytics.
- Overall knowledge about vendors ecosystem providing solutions related to call automation (contact center technology providers, speech technology suppliers, conversational AI vendors).
- Familiarity with data protection and privacy regulations.
- Previous experience working for a competitor in a similar position would be a strong advantage.
- Oral and written communication skills in Spanish or Brazilian would be an asset.
