Job Description
As a member of one of our Technology teams, you will contribute to building solutions that use natural language processing, cognitive computing, and artificial intelligence applications or the frameworks and infrastructure that support them.
You will be part of the valued team that provides the all-important data that drives Interactions’ technology. As a member of this team, you will be responsible for analyzing and annotating spoken and written dialogues involving multiple speakers (e.g. text chats, phone calls). Tasks include transcribing speech into text; identifying important entities in speech and text (e.g. people names, business names, addresses, etc.); and classifying the intent of a speaker (e.g. seeking assistance, returning a call, making a reservation, etc.). You will provide valuable transcriptions and annotations that drive our technology development.
You will be asked to exclusively transcribe and annotate sensitive data in our on-site clean room at our NJ office.
Essential Job Functions

Transcribe verbatim audio recordings, single and multi-speaker, of varying dialects, accents, etc. while adhering to guidelines.

Identify and annotate key words and phrases within text.

Annotate audio and text with the “intent” of the speaker.

Adapt to changes in guidelines, priorities, and environments.

Proofread your own work and others’ for accuracy and quality assurance.

Interpret ambiguous speech and transcribe it as accurately as possible based upon internet research (e.g. locating the actual address, finding the exact spelling of person names, business names, etc.)

Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
Qualifications
Required

Native/near-native speaker of English.

Strong written and oral communication skills.

Excellent analytical and organizational skills.

Detailed-oriented, with a strong grasp of grammar and spelling.

Dependable, self-motivated, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Some familiarity with computers and with Internet research.

Minimum 30 hours per week (with flexibility).

Work full-time on-site to annotate sensitive data.
Preferred
-
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree (completed or in progress).

Fast typing speed with high accuracy.

Previous transcription and/or annotation experience.

Experience with Mac OS.
